Transportation Update
Arnold Mill Elementary School Transportation Information:
Dear AMES families,
IMPORTANT: Starting on MONDAY, OCTOBER 6th to streamline our communication regarding afternoon transportation for our students, we are implementing a new monthly transportation calendar. This calendar will be located in your student’s communication folder. We ask that you circle how your student is going home each day: Bus, Car Rider, ASP, Daycare, or Club. Teachers will check the calendar each Monday morning for the week. Please complete the calendar for each day. If an option is not marked, students will go to ASP with a drop-in charge of $20. This is to ensure that we are not sending students on a bus when no one is home to receive them.
Please adhere to the calendar and refrain from making unnecessary transportation changes. We understand that emergencies come up. If you have to make any last-minute changes to your student’s afternoon transportation, please email: AMES.transportation@cherokeek12.net with the change that is being made. Include your student’s first and last name, grade level, homeroom teacher, and change to their end of day transportation. Our front office staff has access to this email address. We will no longer take Transportation Change Forms – this email will be used instead of the form. Please do not email your student’s teacher during the school day as they are busy with instruction and may not see the email. Same day transportation changes must be made before 1:30pm.
Safety is our top priority. We understand that we are asking you to provide us with end of day transportation information again, but our goal is to streamline and ensure that all staff assist with afternoon transportation and getting students home safely. Thank you for your support!
